In order to effectively care for others, we must first learn to care for ourselves. This monthly interdisciplinary workshop series, led collaboratively by three creative arts therapists, is designed to engage Jefferson students in self-care practices that promote healthy stress management and burnout prevention. Workshops will address topics including grounding and relaxation techniques, finding balance, transforming negative emotions, challenging perfectionism and developing self-compassion.
In this art and movement based workshop, we will focus on creating change in your life. We will guide you through a process of identifying something you are working on changing in your life, assessing where you are in relation to that change, envisioning where you want to be and creating concrete steps to move you toward your goal. Special emphasis will be placed on how to overcome obstacles that you anticipate facing on your journey.
